Employment hunting is often a miserable experience. You have to hear a lot of rejection before getting anywhere. There may be days when you work for hours and hours with nothingto show. You can work with more age ranges of children in childcare than in the school system. If you have spent a number of years working with middle and high school kids as a traditional classroom teacher, teaching toddlers and preschool children basic skills may be a well-deserved fun and rewarding break.
